Rest and Relaxation
Lake of the Ozarks
Today, we caught up on all the usual chores including: replenishing our snack bag, cleaning the bikes, and washing the clothes. Robin even gave me a haircut outside the hotel room. I’m sure people thought we were crazy and/or cheap, but who cares what other people think! We also planned the route and hotel stays for the next 7 days. We wanted to avoid St Louis and Louisville, but when we looked at other routes there were no hotels within riding distance. Therefore, we will stay on the original course into West Virginia, and then we will figure out which beach to target for our final leg.
We started early, so we were done with all the chores by noon, and we hit the pool. We were the youngest people at the pool; this resort seems to cater to the Baby Boomers. Robin and I thought we were back in Florida for a few moments. It was over 95 degrees at 1pm, so we alternated between the pool and the hotel room to play with Maude and get some AC. Overall, it was a relaxing afternoon. Just what we need before we hit the road tomorrow.
Maude also relaxed, which is nothing new. She did visit the vet a couple days ago and is now on antibiotics for an ear infection. She looks much better than she did yesterday.
